so my buddy has been a Pats season ticket holder for 13 years and once again got dissed on super bowl tix. So his most capable wife writes onwe Bob Kraft a personal letter of complaint. A few weeks go by and she receives call Tuesday from a staffer at the ticket office saying that Mr Kraft has just handed him 2 tickets personally and they can pick them up at the Patriots hotel in Arizona. Lucky he had his flight booked!

People are going to OD at festivals, its just a fact, and really doesn't have anything to do with Creek...I can't believe Creek would be willing to give up their highest paying gig of the year, although I know its not just the money, I'm sure the extra cash doesnt hurt..if theyre not making enough they should cut all the support bands, which i usually sleep through anyway, and definately move to a smaller place with less overhead..without camp I see a seriously steep decline in attendance for future shows, if there any..for many years I would bring at least 8-10 people, making fans out of most of them..

In anticipation of this years Camp Creek,here are some jobs that would need to be filled,to improve upon last years stage production video-wise,should John Rider decide to document this event.For the video crew,there should be at least 6 people on cameras,3 to capture shots,and 3 to assist the shot positions via managing the video cables and tripods.Plus 2 cameras in the audience just to tape the show,getting crowd shots and rail angles.It would be nice to have 2-3 people to help document the entire weekend,sharing the load of recording,and maybe contributing some blank media in this regard,using your own cameras.If someone close to the band who is in production for a living might think it a nice gesture to allow access to their equipment for this important event,they should contact John and find out what he'd want if it were made available to him.As far as Saturday night,I feel that a side stage screen would work well to show the crowd close ups,and sharpen Lindas' main stage presence,much like Camp '99 was.If you see this post and say,"Hey,Camp Creek should receive the props it deserves",and consider helping the band and crew out in this way, this will benefit the band in terms of a cleaner, more professional production than it already is.You benefit the Max Creek fanbase by contributing to documentation that possibly will see the light of day if successful(yes,totally talking out of my ass here,just seeing how it could possibly go down,no shame in that).The band will be happier and be contented with the results,hence will perform better during the recording.No "back of the head" video or members being cut off by amps and stage gear,and all of the band receiving equal coverage.If the band doesn't view their portrayal as a joke,their confidence level will rise accordingly,the fun meter pokes a little higher.You get the picture....So this post is meant to feel out any potential help in this area now,while there is opportunity to do so.You're helping the BAND in responding.If you have the confidence to help,and can see this as heightening your Camp Creek experience(and everyone elses),do it.I am willing to organize a crew to try and get some thought and preparation put into this,whether I end up being asked to help or not.I will repost this on MySpace.Obviously,having some prior experience in A/V is a bonus.No one prompted me to post this,and I represent no one directly in doing so.Just an active idea.Send me a note,detailing the what and how. Well Creekers in the last couple of months people who asked me about Camp Creek usually got pretty upset when I told them I didn't think there was going to be one this year. After some of the events at last years Camp and some personal things that happened to me after Camp. I wasn't sure that I could put my heart and energy into it. After listening to everyone and how much Camp Creek has meant and still means to them I had a change of heart . You have all made me want to do it again. I can't promise another year after this one but there will be one more Camp Creek at Indian Lookout Country Club On July 25,26, and 27. Thanks to everyone for convincing us to do it one more time. You guys and gals are the best fans ever!!!!

My first Camp Creek was 92, I think. Some of my favorite memories are CPR doing Ohio, DBB in the barn, and partaking with a biker dude and saying, "look out for security, man." He says, "don't worry, I AM security." We made a pact after those first few years to no matter what we were doing, always meet up at Camp Creek. I don't say this with sadness, the crew has grown older and life responsibilities have become paramount to our Camp Creeking and we've missed a few in recent years. I sent out an APB to all involved and included Eric's message. The response brings a fucking tear to my eye. We're primed. Summer just wouldn't be right without Camp Creek to look forward to. Those years we didn't go, I looked forward to the pictures here, and the posts, and the recordings. The glow that emanates from this place the day, week, and months after the show absolutely cannot be topped. If this is our last hurrah, so be it. And get Levon. peace!

My first camp creek was 90', then Woodstock, Ct. on the big ski hill, and I have not missed a camp at ILCC...I hope it continues for years to come at ILCC or wherever, but that's up to the powers that be....LONG LIVE CAMP!!!

O8 is happening it is 09 that may or may not b in jeopardy. We should all try to do as much as possible to keep Camp coming if Max Creek wants TO KEEP IT COMING? I have a few plans all ready as do others. Derek the Germans have a saying related to October fest. Once you lose all of your self respect you're then free to be your self. Also I'm sure you've made some bad choices at sometime, we all do. Also I was 100 % WRONG and regret it but there is a lot of back story to that fiasco I apologized to that individual and was accepted. When I decided not to leave the scene and run and hide 4 ever I 4gave my self and have put that behind me.In no way does that condone that behavior but if they gave me as much "rope to hang myself" as mud man / fence boy received because of me. Then that situation would have never happened .The other time I choked on a rock and couldn't get out side in time because people could see I was having trouble and blocked my path to the door. So now I keep the rocks out of my mouth.That OD thing is true. While enjoying the great bands, great Creek shows, excellent weather and all you FREEKS at CC this past summer, the one sour note to the whole thing was that I was told that a young man had died (possibly from taking wrong combos of medications), and it seemed that the circumstances were under the auspices of the State Police. I did see two of their cars at a tent towards the back end of camparking along the trees, so I believed it. no other info...

I just read that this might be the last camp..No offense Eric, but is the decision to have camp yours? I was under the impression the boys absolutely loved playing at camp...please dont take it the wrong way I know you have worked hard for the band..and .I guess if they want to leave it up to you thats their business..but if you feel it is too much for you, couldn't you 'subcontract' all the planning, promotion etc to someone else? It would be a damn shame if there were no more camp..its like letting the bastards bring you down! Thanks for this year though!

So I guess you could say I booked a room that hasn't been paid for yet. There are many good places to eat in Northampton, all in easy walking distance of Pearl Street. I'm partial to the Sierra Grill and the Dirty Truth (beer bar with high-end pub food). There's decent barbeque at Smokin' Lil's, and Moroccan-Mediterranean fare at Amanouz Cafe. Good Thai at Thai Garden, decent Chinese & Japanese at Teapot, and great pizza at Luna's. Vegetarian at Bella and vegetarian-leaning at Paul & Elizabeth's. And that's just off the top of my head. Really, you can't throw a brick in Northampton without hitting 4 or 5 restaurants...

Well Creekers in the last couple of months people who asked me about Camp Creek usually got pretty upset when I told them I didn't think there was going to be one this year. After some of the events at last years Camp and some personal things that happened to me after Camp. I wasn't sure that I could put my heart and energy into it. After listening to everyone and how much Camp Creek has meant and still means to them I had a change of heart . You have all made me want to do it again. I can't promise another year after this one but there will be one more Camp Creek at Indian Lookout Country Club On July 25,26, and 27. Thanks to everyone for convincing us to do it one more time. You guys and gals are the best fans ever!!!!

Cleaning out the closet today Found a pair of merrell mules I bought on ebay about a year and a half ago. Didn't really like them. They've been collecting dust for about a year or two. Well I spotted them today and tried them on. So comfortable!!! It's funny how something the same can feel so different. The shoes didn't change. Don't think my feet changed. You ever had one of those days???? Well, mine started like this. Got about 5 iches of snow yesterday. Went out to hook the plow up (it sits in front of the garage door). Problems abound...Thorttle on truck somehow sticks. Truck and plow crash trough garage door. Bummer...Off to Wal-Mart. Coming out pushing my cart. % police men there with guns drawn telling me to turn and put my hands on wall...WTF??? Turns out, a couple shop-lifters were basiclly using me for cover to try to sneak out of store..they were like 1 ince behind me and I didn't know it. At first, the cops thought I was one of them. 10 minutes later I was finally on my way out of there. I am not going to touch a single thing the rest of the day, somehow, something with happen, so i will just saty on the sofa with the new Stephen King book!!

If anyone's bored this afternoon, I'm taking MC Force from the Alchemystics (band I'm now managing, you may have caught them at Wormtown) over for a stint on WMUA, the UMass radio station, from about 3:30-4:30. You can listen live on WMUA.org. I'm already a big fan of the show, with DJ Andujar, he spins a nasty mix of groove-heavy stuff from funk to reggae to latin jazz and afrobeat, really good material.

Jimmy Page has quelled rumors that Led Zeppelin will tour this summer. In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Page mentioned that if the group does tour, it won’t be until at least September, due to singer Robert Plant’s previous summer commitments. The former Led Zeppelin singer recently released the hit bluegrass album Raising Sand with Alison Krauss and the pair are in the process of lining up a world tour. As previously reported, Plant and Krauss will play a limited number of U.S. shows this April, fronting an all-star band that includes veteran producer T-Bone Burnett. After hitting Europe in May, Plant and Krauss are expected to tour North America extensively throughout the summer.
"Robert Plant has a parallel project” Page told the Associated Press, “and he is busy with that until September." By all accounts, Led Zeppelin’s core members seemed happy with their recent reunion at London's 02 Arena. Neither Page nor Plant has ruled out the possibility of a fall tour after the singer finishes his commitments behind Raising Sand. Plant will open his upcoming tour with Krauss at Louisville, KY’s Louisville Palace Theatre on April 20.

that's a funny line, cowboy bob- interestingly, there is an awkward, cringe-inducing massage scene in the film, with wonderfully subtle acting on the part of both players, demonstrating that one needn't have to jump up and yell "what are you doing, you fag?" to register one's revulsion. powerfully understated scene...

Morning y'all! I took the kids and their friends to the planetarium last night to see the Pink Floyd laser light show. It was pretty fun, although i must admit i felt like i might barf when they started to spin the entire universe at the end. *dramamine alert* I was never too big on the spinning thing to begin with. Anyway the rest of the show was probably about as close to anything resembling a genuine "flashback" as i've ever experienced.
