Stabbing Westward maybe? So I hear they're going to have a GD channel on the sirius. I've been thinking of getting it, but waiting until you can get the a la carte thing when they merge. I'll tell you something, working at a radio station was fun for a while, but once you're just a listener you realize how much it blows. CD's are predictable, you know what's on them. Satellite will surprise you and I like that. www.wehm.com ain't half bad, they're out of Long Island and www.wpkn.com is old reliable. p-p-p-peace!

I only ever seen "blood red roses" once 2....HA HAAA!!! Wavy RULES!!! Funny I was just thinking about "save yourself" today. I was listening to channel 24 aka: lithium on sirius radio. Stabbing Forward was the name of the band. I actually forgot that and wouldn't have given a fuck about it. Not to say I didn't like that song but I wouldn't have given it a 2nd thought if Creek didn't cover it. Also made me think of the Ween tune "If You Could Save Yourself You'd Save Us All". Which came out about the same time Creek was "stabbing forward"...HA HAA!!! Gotta love the way the universe works sometimes! nowhati'msayin'?

Well those were 2 very interesting ballgames. As a yankee fan I harbor no illusions that the yankees will win the division, the wild card works for me. Injuries to the pitching staff early on hurt the yankees bigtime. Matt desalvo (6), tyler clippard (6), darrel rasner (6), jeff karstens (3), colter bean (3), chase wright (2), that’s 26 games started by pitchers who were not supposed to start a game for the yankees this year. I bet the yankees didn’t win even 5 of those games. None are with the ballclub now. The red sox staff has remained relatively intact, and there’s the difference. But the yankees are right there, virtually tied with the mariners for the wild card. The numbers go back to 0 – 0 when the playoffs start, it’s the 2nd season.

It's not always the size of a venue that matters,but the fun.The Hartford Brewery was a prime example.If you have access,check out the recording of 12-15-99.Awesome show,small crowd,one of the best shows that year,also had sit-ins that added to the moments.I do think it is possible to play a more intimate venue and still retain mystique and strong energy,even acquiring new fans through off the beaten path venues.Creek has alot of blues in their repertoire...another train..I feel like I should take down a bunch of the videos I've put up,if only because it is pretty saturated,and has gone beyond the point of creating intrigue.Any consensus of material to cut,you can contact me through the Youtube messaging if you care to input...I do hope to see a bunch of you freaks at Black Eyed Sallys friday,not only to support x and Guitarness,but to support Hartfords music scene; give the venue owners the idea that our kind of music will be supported in the area.There are a small handful of people who control all of CTs' entertainment spaces.It would be nice to have an alternative to Sullys when their calendar is booked and Creek decides they'd like to play in the area.What do you think?

I just downloaded those Vernville files, and found that my Mac won't play them. Found a workaround, though: use xACT to convert those .wav files to .shn, then convert those .shn files to .aiff, and it works fine :)

Craig, Republican of Idaho, was arrested in June by an undercover police officer in a men’s bathroom at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in the case three weeks ago. . . . According to a police report obtained by the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call, which disclosed the episode and the guilty plea Monday, a plainclothes police officer investigating complaints of sexual activity in the bathroom arrested the senator on June 11 after what the officer described as sexual advances made by Mr. Craig from an adjoining stall. . . . I'm picturing a tall guy, wearing nothing but his jean overalls, with a somewhat long face and some type of beard, perhaps porkchops, perhaps Amish, dreads or no dreads, may be with a tamm, buttons and patches in strategic places on the jean overalls, fairly thin, like they've existed on carrots and beans, doing a groovy dance usually with the exaggerated leg motions, sometimes a little high choppy, sometimes a little wobbly towards the outside, always barefoot, and as smiles as thrown in, their armpits stink to high heaven, with a truly only making the smell worse as it is entirely uncomplimentary towards bacteria-laden armpits, and with a chipped front tooth (gawsh dern), somewhat larger ears usually pierced somewhere, with maybe the overall belt buckles being their bling, probably a tobacco pipe or a big wad in the cheek, let's face it you would run at them with a bucket of soapy water and a scrub brush if you had the chance, and don't forget the hempy glass laid in twisted necklace around the neck. this particular species originates in the Colorado foothills.

Sooo sorry to hear about the kids' supplies being stolen... I can't believe some people really have no conscience!! Forget the Simpson's movie... it's just one long 1 hour episode. 4 years in the making for what??? A disappointment for sure. They could have done soooo much more with it. I guarantee that none of that garbage happens at any Planet Bluegrass Festival or Grand Targhee; because nobody that attends would tolerate it...and also above those actions, like all of you are. Key words: No Sketch Factor! On The Simpsons...the movie should have been made a dozen years ago, when the writing was brilliant. Today's Simpsons has merely been a cartoon for at least 6-7 years where the first five years, many of the situations and characters felt *real*!! Watch an old episode like the brilliant Homer's Triple Bypass, which handled the topic beautifully. Stone and Parker timed their South Park movie very well, whish was hysterical. As for StrangeFolk, they nor Reid Genuaer just don't do it for me, and I'll leave it at that. Creek content: Has Creek ever teased the Simpsons theme? Take care, folks...

Monday when we packed up the Kids Tent...
We all worked extremely long hours, and put sooo much time and effort into this years Vibes Kids Zone. We had workshops on all days, (4 on Saturday), the Parade, Andy the Music Man was awesome, the volunteers were incredible, face painters were nuts, the Teen Scene was outta sight. It was BY FAR the best we've ever done with just under 500 children, and I felt most triumphant.
Everything was packed and separated: Bins going to Bisco and bins to store for WormFest.
On Monday afternoon, I had to get my vehicle to the garage before closing and I left the Kids Tent stuff unattended at 1pm waiting to be packed into the Penske. Sometime between 3pm & 4pm, ALL of the Kids Tent bins had been completely riffled through and mostly stolen.
They took all of the equipment, lights, cords, tools, spray paint. They demolished our Boo-Boo Station with diapers, wipes, sanitizer, sun block and bug spray. They stole all of our art kits, beads, staplers, scissors and glue...everything. Except for the bag of stuffed animals, and the bins of old busted up toys. They left all the big Plastic motor toys, board games, and bins of paper.
It was my fault for not having stayed with the stuff knowing the Park was then open to the public. With 3 kids in tow , a poorly running set of wheels and an exhausted crew, I told myself it would be fine, for an hour or two.
When I got to Bisco and saw what was left of the Kids Tent that has taken me 6 years to collect, after yelling and swearing my head off, I cried my eyes out. I felt completely defeated. cry
So, I come to you, Vibe Tribe. If anyone has any donations they can kick out to the Kids Tent at WormFest next month, we would be eternally grateful!

Ahhh as I left the blissness of Pickles wedding I drive by a sign that says Munsonville / Granite Lake. I harking back to those halcyon days of yesteryear when I would trustingly get on the back of pickles sled with a chainsaw and actually expect a positive outcome.
