second to kruetzman-hart is vasso-allshouse.but the vasso-fried was nice too. this is just me i love the fried-allshouse. 98 there were alot of drumz played in the shows. 97 was the drum and percussion oddessey at the atomic club. robs percussion at c.c 02 was beautiful. and 98 at bucksteep was jaimoe-fried-allshouse! new years 98 into 99 drumz at the expo center. i love to just think back. sorry! but sometimes people remember back. and its cool constructive conversation. keeps me out of trouble!

I'd say that's a 1/2 credit answer. Snuck into a show by them at Axis in 1991. All u old fogies were twirlin' around in Guaties listening to the same ole shows...I was getting blown away by the whole live music experience for the first time...at 15...The rest is history.

when i was ten. eruption blew my mind! eddie was my first guitar hero! thats when i knew i wanted to play. then randy rhodes and ozzy came in to my head so finding dime was just an extension of that sound i loved. so as i get into high school. we were into tripping alot. so we are in the car tripping face and this is in mass. and every sat. on on zlx they had dead ahead. live dead every sat night. so we would go to the woods and trip and i heard it and got melted! so it was on from there. went to see as many dead shows i could. then jerry passed. so i was lost . went to phish and they were cool. and this guy at work says you like the dead hey. you like Max Creek? i said who. he said The Creek! never heard of them. he said what the fuck kind of dead head are you! so i moved to middleboro mass and bumped into some tye dye hacky sackers . we hit it off and they said come on with us we are going to a campout youll like it . that was camp creek 96. i was in shock, awe. didnt know what to do or say. the creek had just rocked my world! at c.c. 96 they had c.c radio. i couldnt get out of the car. my frinds are like you alright come on out. but i couldnt. they were playing live creek shows and the music had me! i couldnt believe how good these guys were. i just couldnt get enough! so 150 shows later i love my Creek! so heavy metal was there first. but mushroom rock came right after! and in mushroom rock you get exposed to all sorts of music! so i am very open minded and see the good and the talent in all music. some of its not my favorite. but i have respect for all music and musicians. dont put no one down!
too cool for v.h.

VH was my first Rock love, the first vinyl I ever purchased..soulful is where I'm at musically, and he was one to play the technical with soul!..Tor?Nah,not his style, doesn't fit his flow.Eruption is one of those songs that, well, what can you do with it?Everyone expects to hear the studio version.Maybe Satriani would do it as a hoot at one of his shows. Not the type of music one generally sees played around these parts. No ones knocking it,aside from someone commenting on the current state of affairs of VH,which is basically dead.Just not focused on it.Anyways...so what brought you to the Creek?Old timer, newbie?

Then you see or hear it and it's like "hmmmm...not a s good as I remembered." Well thats NOT the case here. Best shit I've seen them do in years! Great job Skeets! eddie van halen's son wolfgang, plays bass and is the new bass player for v.h. no more mike anthony. v.h. broke up again. they toured in 04 with sammy. sold out a bunch of arenas everywhere, but lost millions. argument starts. no more v.h. then mike leaves. now its eddies 15 year old son on bass. so they wait to find a new lead singer. they got stuff on ice for a new album anyway. ed checked himself into detox for a bit. wrote a letter to the fans and it said "cant give 100 percent. thats what the fans deserve and i cant do that right now".so now v.h. is eddie alex and wolfgang van halen.i think jordan murawski should hook up with wolfie and start a band!

Hi, folks! I saw something else burn hard & heavy last night: Gov't Mule for two killer sets at what I call now The Denver FillMart! Warren ran the gamut on covers: Steppenwolf (Don't Step On The Grass, Sam), Humble Pie (30 Days In The Hole), James Brown (It's A Man's World), Zappa (Pygme Twylyte } Trouble Every Day), Hendrix (If 6 Was 9) and in the encore...Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah!" and "That's What Love Will Make You". Oh yes...and Toots Hibbert guesting on "I've Been Loving You Too Long." Oh, there were some cool Mule originals -- "Like Flies" and "Endless Parade" you wouldn't think as set openers, but the Mule pulled them off well. Neither set closer sucked: A fully developed "Thorazine Shuffle" and a typical ass-kickin' "Blind Man In The Dark." That Warren Haynes...he's a meanie!;-) One more go-round with Da Mule tonight. Have a good weekend, folks!

Ed, I think that consistency would be good. That way if you put the whole show into a cd player on 2 discs and listen to it from start to finish it won't get louder or quieter. IMO

Hi. I have a question I need some feedback on. I'm creating cd's of a Creek show(9-14-96). They were both played into the computer at the same level, and they appear to be the same level in my audio editor. Set 1, however, has a spike of percussion that prevents me from raising its levels as much as set 2 - I can raise set 2 3.5db, but set 1 only .9db... so here's the question: should I raise set 2 the full 3.5db, or should I only raise the level .9db to match set 1?

hey tricia.. using flac frontend is pretty easy. You just click add, then look for all the flac files and add them, then click decode. It will put WAV files where the flac files were, which you can burn to CD. If you have nero burning software there's a plugin that lets you burn audio CDs directly from flac files too.

I used to download tons..shn...with flac files, you drag and drop the song file you've downloaded into a box,and click a button.A simple program to decompress the files without losing any quality. You can select all of the files at once and then click the button, walk away for 30 minutes, then come back to put that Creek set onto a disc.Think multitasking.:)

if you've heard of Jaco Pastorius the jazz guy, then you might be interested in knowing that his two sons Felix and Julius Pastorius play. and their bands name is way of yhe groove. no lyrics. just straight up acid fusion funk jazz!!! they go up north alot. check em out. they play every wed. in ft. laud. thats really the only secret down here. the Creek is like a secret to me in my mind. cause they are so incredibly talented at what they do. real magic!! and know one knows? or they are not paying attention. or they are just plain stupid!

So…….. a few years ago someone brought an old all-in-one record-cassette-tuner player to work for us to listen to FM in our shop ,never really tried the record player ( you youngsters picture a 12 inch black disk that has music on " BOTH sides" ) so I tried it the other day with some old albums that were in the goodwill pile at home and low and behold the dam thing sounds great , today one of the guys brought in " the closeing of the filmore " three album set and we rocked out to bill grahams favorite bands on that most warm and inviting media THE ALBUM, I think I may even try to pick up a turntable , even thou I sold a bunch records at a tag sale last year , and had a pile all set to go to goodwill, I still have a selection of black disks I cannot bear to part with , holding the record jacket and reading the liner notes is way cool and being ever so carefull not to scratch or mare the albums used to seem like such a pain the ass when Cds came out but its cool , there is something about albums ……..gona give some creek a listen tomorrow , its been a while

To anyone who lives in Spencer or East Brookfield MA - DON'T USE YOUR WATER. It has been contaminated with chemicals. It's on the Boston news channels. I haven't seen this many cops in town since CSN played the fairgrounds back in 1984. If you do live in town, they are giving out cases of bottled water at the Spencer Town barn (next to Charlie's Diner). And on a better note: I continue with the birthday wishes for the illustrious Mr. Rider!

the old brake pads may not cause rotor wear, but the unevenness of the old brake pads will definitely cause a "shimmy" while braking. the brake pads are probably the cheapest anyway...and, while you're replacing the rotor, maybe it's time to re-lubricate the ball bearings?

OK Gearhead question. On a brake job if you have the rotor cut shouldn’t you also replace the brake pads? If I’m not mistaken doesn’t’ the unevenness of the pad cause the rotor to wear? I crash cars well not so good on fixing.

We didn't do the "Birthday" tune because we had no monitors and no one on-stage could hear my vocals or my acoustic. If Dave (our drummer) would have been there we would have done it. If we play Camp Creek we will definitely do it. The B.Ill Beer/Bathroom story is a classic. I will post that tomorrow. They do seem to be up there -- last year's dates, but this year's setlists. And the samples are definitely from this year. I definitely recommend grabbing them. Great recordings of great shows, and I'm sure each download is good for the band. On another note, Junior Brown is at the Iron Horse tonight . . .

It was wonderful to catch up with my old friends from Max Creek at Eastover and to play couple of tunes with the band on Saturday Night. These guys are so good. The most fun I've had with Old Stones Broken Bones in a long time! There were many magical moments. I loved hearing the pure strong hearted song of Sophia (Emily's girl...do I have it right?)singing out for the truth about how fucked up things are. She is hope for the future. And meeting Creek Family members and kids, all this life since the old days in Hartford. Where have I been? A long story. And damned if the story doesn't just keep getting longer. Thank you Creek People for helping me reconnect to some important parts of my own life. And thanks to Max Creek for moving their excellent music forward so steadfastly for so long. A remarkable achievement!

HIYA ALL!!! Wow what a great time! Best Eastover ever I'd say. The out door jam brought it over the top. I just couldn't see playing downstairs in that basement of a red room. Big thanks to DB sound, Mike and Costa. For helping me out and making it happen. Hopefully we can do that again next year if the weather cooperates. Big thanks to the staff of Eastover, Eric and of course Greg Vasso and Scott Murawski for sitting in with us and bringing it over the top. Awesome to see Jordan jam with his pappy. The music apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. Sophia is an amazing songwriter/performer. That was awesome! I actually like that weekend better than Camp Creek. Though I love Camp Creek (don't get me wrong). The biggest thanks of all goes to all you fuckers! You guys are some of the greatest people on the planet. Don't you all ever forget it! Next year I will be taking monday off. Today kicked my ass. Coming out of the red room at 7am probobly had something to do with it! Thanks again from all of us in SpiTune. (website www.spitune.com) Our drummers dad is doing much better too. He was so bummed he couldn't make it but he also wanted to thank everyone for their support. He also said "no fucking way am I missing next year". HA HAAA!!! Thats my boy! Now bring on Camp Creek! I am going to need more before then though. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! ROCK ON!!!

Thanks to the great Max Creek and the fine folks at Eastover for a wonderful weekend. Without question this will go down as one of the best times I have ever had with the band. It was so nice to reconnect with old friends and to make a few new ones. A special thanks to Scott Allshouse for letting my 2 year old little girl sit at your drums on Friday night before the show. She kept saying "drums, drums, drums" all the way home. It is so nice for me to be able to share this wonderful band with my beautiful little daughter and the fact that you all made it so nice for her just makes it all the better. She said Math Ceek to me this morning and I almost fell on the floor. You guys are the best and I can't wait till next year. Peace and love to all

What a Creek Freakn' weekend.....Nobody does it like Creek period! The whole creekend was magical, from the second i got there to the moment i left...The Saturday afternoon show was killer, for a younger guy like me to be tossed back in time to a late 70's setlist like that was soooo sweet...And then rage all night with creek.....X jamming till sun-up with fungus....So a BIG thank you to Creek and all the Freaks.....
